The Online Lesson Experience

Remote learning and  taking online lessons have become an essential part of our education.  In my experience, I have found online lessons to be extremely productive, fun, and convenient, and often better suited to many students compared to traditional in-person lessons. In my studio, I am using advanced audio-visual technologies to provide best-in-class learning experience for students of all levels and ages, and engage with them in between the lessons using dedicated apps. Please take a few moments to watch the following video to learn more!

Online Lesson Tips

  • I will work with you to find a good spot to place your laptop, tablet, or mobile device during the trial lesson. The best and most convenient position is to lean your device on one of the two sides of the keyboard, or on a chair positioned next to the piano.

  • Try connecting to WiFi rather than mobile data for the most stable connection.

  • Moving the wireless router closer to your device or plugging your device (e.g. laptop) directly to the router may help improving the call quality.

  • Please make sure your device is fully charged, close distracting apps, and consider limiting the usage of high-bandwidth internet services (e.g. games, Netflix, etc.) by other family members during the lesson.

  • I strongly recommend using Zoom for the best audio/video quality.  Please make sure you have the latest version installed on your device prior to your first lesson.
